15 Washington Apartments houses all of our Graduate Students as well as some Upperclass Students.
15 Washington Apartments is an iconic Newark skyscraper, neo-classical building, built in 1929. It served as the headquarters of the American Insurance Co. and later served as home to Rutgers School of Law in Newark. In 2015. it will open as a newly converted university-affiliated high-end graduate and undergraduate apartments. This will be the only university-affiliated housing for graduate students.
In 15 Washington Apartments, graduate students reside on the tower side of the building from the 3rd to the 13th floor of of the building. Apartment styles range from Studios, 2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms, and 4 bedrooms where each graduate student has his own bedroom and shares the common area with the number of roommates they would have depending on the apartment sytle. 15 Washington Apartments will include various study spaces, a small exercise room, and 24 hour security.
